Is Stoov safe to use?Updated 2 months ago

Yes! Stoov products are designed with multiple safety features to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

Heat Protection
We take safety seriously. Each Stoov is equipped with:

  • Temperature Sensors: These monitor and adjust the heat to maintain a stable, safe temperature.
  • Bi-Metal Overheat Protection: This fail-safe cuts power if the heating element becomes too hot.
  • Auto-Off Function: If you forget to turn off your Stoov, it will switch of automatically after eight hours.
  • Step-Down Feature: Every two hours, the heat setting is lowered to prevent overheating. You can crank up the heat again by pressing the button, but be mindful when doing so!
  • On/Off Switch: This switch allows you to completely shut off your Stoov, avoiding accidental activation during storage or use.

These features work together to create a safe, consistent warmth. Want to read more about using your Stoov responsibly or learn more about Stoov safety measures? Check out our blog Warmth with Care.

Use during pregnancy
While Stoov products are tested for safety, we advise against use during pregnancy. If you choose to use Stoov, consult a specialist first.

Use with a pacemaker
We recommend against using a Stoov if you have a pacemaker. If in doubt, please consult a specialist.

Heat sensitivity
Individuals with reduced heat sensitivity or those who cannot feel heat at all are advised to not use a Stoov. If unsure, seek advice from a specialist.
